Trailer Protection Plan (TPP)

Optional protection for your rental trailer during your rental period.

Important: NOT INSURANCE
The Trailer Protection Plan (TPP) is NOT INSURANCE. It is an optional contractual modification to the Rental Agreement. In exchange for payment of the TPP fee, Loxahatchee Trailer Rentals waives its right to collect from Renter for accidental damage to the rental trailer occurring during the rental period, subject to a copay of $250 per incident and the exclusions listed below.

Coverage Amount

The Trailer Protection Plan covers accidental damage to the rental trailer occurring during the rental period. Your out-of-pocket responsibility is limited to the copay amount of $250 per incident, subject to the exclusions below.

Exclusions

The Trailer Protection Plan does NOT cover:

  • Intentional damage, misuse, abuse, or negligent operation
  • Loading beyond the trailer's posted GVWR
  • Use for any purpose not disclosed at time of rental
  • Operation by anyone not listed as authorized on the Rental Agreement
  • Operation under the influence of alcohol or drugs
  • Off-road use unless authorized in writing
  • Theft or loss not reported to law enforcement within 48 hours
  • Tire damage from blowouts, road hazards, or normal wear
  • Damage occurring after the agreed return date/time
  • Renter account not current or in breach of any Rental Agreement term

How to File a Claim

Report Damage

Notify us immediately upon discovering damage. Call or text 786-387-6733.

Complete Report

Fill out a damage report form with detailed photos of all damage.

Pay Copay

Pay your $250 copay per incident.

Loxahatchee Trailer Rentals coordinates all repairs. You're done!

Important Terms

  • •The Trailer Protection Plan is NOT INSURANCE. It is an optional contractual modification to the Rental Agreement.
  • •The plan is optional. You may decline coverage at checkout.
  • •The plan is non-refundable once the rental period begins.
  • •Coverage is per-incident. Each separate damage event requires its own copay of $250.
  • •The plan does not cover consequential damages (e.g., damage to your vehicle, cargo, or property caused by trailer malfunction).
  • •Protection rate: 15% of your daily rental rate (minimum $9/day, maximum $25/day).
